The dreaded influenzer has struck our home!

What a week this has been! Everyone in the house eventually succumbed to the dreaded flu! And what a doozy it is. It makes you realize how important your role as mother really is as your children are so defenceless when sick , just as they were when new born. Kodi, my two year old, just wanted to be held and cuddled all the time. Fevers and not eating for a week have taken the toll on him and you definately notice it with him when you lift him up, he has lost a lot of weight. Poor Jessi has missed a week of school and is really dissapointed as he has learnt his reading words and would be awarded a certificate in assembly. And as Anthony and I both got sick as well and we own and run our own shop it has proven quite difficult. Stock up on your vitamins and cold and flu capsules, this is one to keep well at bay.

Little Mr MotoX

Jessi is motor bike mad (well both boys are, but we don't let Kodi race due to his age and the fact that he is so accident prone and has no fear!) He has ridden a bike since he was 18 months old. A motorbike with training wheels but still a motorbike. Jess races once every fortnight at the local motorcross track. He raced his first competition grass track race in the begining of 2006 and even though he did'nt place he was given a medalion for encouragement. And encourage him it did! In June this year he partnered one of his prep classmates, Tarryn Wright in the annual Nhill Pony Express and even though they raced against bigger kids on the same size bikes as theirs they placed third and were awarded with lovely trophies. (Anthony raced as well but failed to finish let alone place, so you can imagine how much Jess ribbed him about his trophy!) The pride Jess showed in his face when given his prize was just priceless! Definately one of the proudest moments in my life.

Meet the special men in my life.

Welcome to my blog and I guess, my life! Meet the two little men in my life, Kodi and Jessi. Jessi is the eldest of the two and has just turned six and Kodi is a terrible two. They definitely keep me on my toes. Let me tell you a little about both of them.
Jessi is a beautiful natured little boy, very caring and well mannered. Ever since he was born we new that he was going to be a 'good boy'. Don't get me wrong he can be a fair little s*#t when he wants to be, especially since starting school. But all in all he is pretty good. He is flying through school academically and loves it. (Hopefully it stays that way)
And then there is Kodi. My very own little stick of dynamite! Rough as guts, like a bull at a gate, all these sayings were written especially for him. If there is trouble to be found Kodi will find it! But even in saying that he is trouble, at the same time he is a very cuddly lovable little boy. He calls me precious and is constantly telling me that he loves me.
Even though the two boys are three and a half years apart they are the same size. Jessi is a very little boy and Kodi is a very big one. In both height and build.
Both very unique and yet very much alike!
